Finding Success and Health Through Intuitive Decision

Zollikofen, Berne, Switzerland. September 16, 2008. We’ve all heard the saying ‘the head rules the heart’ and vice versa, along with the sage advice to ‘follow your heart’ — another way of saying follow your intuition. How many of us get strong feelings to follow a certain path or course of action only to have our ‘head’ — our logical self — talk us out of it? Often, not following your heart can lead to anxiety and stress along with feelings of regret and a myriad of what ifs. Some fortunate people manage to follow their intuition — listening to their ‘inner voices’ — to help make the right decisions in their personal and business lives . One such woman is Olakunbi Korostensky, CEO and founder of Awaken Women International.

Following the success of the first International Conference for Women & Women Entrepreneurs in 2006, Korostensky and her team have organised a second conference under the rebranded name ‘Awaken Women Conference’ (AWC). Women from around the world are invited to attend the conference ‘Recognise and Live Your Purpose with Joy’ on October 17-19, 2008 in Zollikofen, Berne, Switzerland. The conference aims to educate women in taking time out to cultivate their intuition as well as their spiritual and mental wellbeing.

‘The objective of our enterprises is to encourage women to realign with and listen to their intuition for an integrated way of life based on sound spiritual principles, to find sustainable happiness, sound health, and success. We believe that when women are able to accept self responsibility and look after themselves first, life takes on a new and deeper meaning.

‘Our conference offers women a safe environment to voice their fear about owning their innate feminine power and encourages women to use them to transform their life and surroundings,” explains Korostensky. As a naturopathic doctor, psychotherapist and spiritual life coach, she knows the effect of stress on the body and spirit.

Six experts from around the globe will converge at the Inforama Rütti conference centre to speak about their experiences and how women can use their natural abilities to succeed in rebalancing their lives and becoming spiritually aligned. These experts include Judy Byrne (Emotional Freedom Techniques therapist), Trina Roach (owner of Creating Tomorrow), Carol Franklin (Ombudswoman of Ombudscom and partner at Vorausdenken), and Annegret Treseler (of ‘Landfrauen’ Services and co-founder of "FaBiAn).

The full programme of activities, including presentations, workshops, and discussions (held in both English and German), can be found on the website, and includes Korostensky leading a session called ‘Tuning-in’, which involves energy-work aligning you with your intuition. Canadian life coach Darlene Montgomery (author of Dream Yourself Awake) runs a workshop entitled ‘How to Discover Your True Purpose in Life Using Dreams and Intuition’, and Dana Gita Stratil (voice trainer, singer and energy therapist) gives a presentation on ‘The Magic of Your Voice — Express Yourself From Deep Within’. There will also be a marionette show and entertainment in the form of singer Janet Dawkins.

Korostensky is on a mission to demystify women’s intuition: ‘I believe that women have been endowed with very strong intuition, as a special gift, for a purpose. Every woman can connect with the source of knowledge. She only requires to trust herself to lift the veil shrouding her ability to fully perceive intuitively.’
