Personally, the conference was a highlight of the year for me. When attending such an event I always set my intention and expectations, both for what I would like to give as well as receive. I had asked that I be able to release the resistance I was feeling about moving forward with my desires and plans, transitioning from fear and self-doubts to joyFULLness. What I experienced can only be described as a domino effect. One little insight lead to another, to another, to another...with my sense of relief and liberation growing with each topple.
I was so deeply touched to feel safe enough and be able to stay with my internal processing while being welcomed to continue participating in the outer activities. My wanting to give of myself in an authentic way was also a powerful experience as I oscillated from sadness to happiness, over and over again. It was as if I didn't need to worry about being a certain way to be accepted, I could have a smile on my face or tears running down my cheeks, both got me lots of loving hugs! I am eternally grateful to have had this experience and for the new girlie-friends that are now in my life.

I enjoyed the conference for various reasons. I met some great women and had some good conversations. There was much food for thought. Even when a presenter has a negative effect on me, I can reflect and learn from this. The most important thing I came away with was a strong conviction that I have to be true to myself and that I want to encourage the people I work with to be authentic too. I have also promised myself to listen better to my intuition!
I would liked to have heard more on intuition from you Kunbi. Your presence and the way you interact and inspire confidence in people are key elements in making an event like this work. Thank you!
The most enjoyable parts were the breakout sessions and the panel discussions; these were the real learning opportunities, I felt. Women learning from women.

In October 2006, I attended the First International Conference for Women and Women Entrepreneurs. I had eagerly anticipated this event and was looking forward to meeting women from different countries and various walks of life.
Among the seven speakers invited were consultants, life coaches, authors and publishers and spiritual teachers.
I feel very fortunate in having participated in the Conference. The event was stimulating, inspiring and uplifting in many different ways. Moreover I came away from the conference with the sense that my preconceptions had been quashed. I had previously thought it almost impossible for women to be successful entrepreneurs whilst maintaining their femininity and spiritual values. I believe the blending of spirituality into our personal and business lives is fundamental, if we want to live a life in which we achieve creative excellence and sustainable happiness. The conference united women from a variety of expertise from around the world, all of whom were able to demonstrate how they use these subtle and very special feminine powers to live a fulfilling life.

Die Frauen der ganzen Welt sollten sich zusammenschliessen, um sich auf ihre speziell weiblichen Stärken zu besinnen und sich gegenseitig zu unterstützen. Genau dies gelang im Jahr 2006 Olakunbi Korostensky, der Veranstalterin der ersten internationalen Frauenkonferenz in Brunnen. Sie vereinigte Frauen aus drei Kontinenten, die sich zu Vorträgen, Diskussionsrunden und Workshops trafen. Sie alle teilten das Interesse an spirituellen Fragen sowie den Wunsch, diese Ebene vermehrt in den Alltag einzubeziehen. Sie knüpften Freundschaften und gingen gestärkt nach Hause.

I was at the first Awaken Women International Conference in October 2006 and intuitively felt that I was part of history in the making. The difference between this and other women's conferences is the fact that we were being asked to use ordinary (but powerful) spiritual principles inherent in all of us to chart our lives, and affect our immediate sorroundings... AND it is possible... Practical experiences shared with us by speakers were very insightful, strategies taught were very simple... What more, they proved that as women, we do have the power to change lives starting with ours!
For those of us who know or have the feeling that- 'there should be more to life', this is the place to get started on a very fulfilling journey. It was a deeply appreciated privilege for me to be a witness of the first ever international conference organized by the AWAKEN WOMEN INTERNATIONAL for Women and Women Entrepreneurs. From different parts of the world, such as Britain, Canada, Germany, Nigeria, Switzerland, women and a handful of men flocked to the heavenly venue of the Conference in Brunnen, Switzerland for a spiritually-propelled and enriched weekend of bliss and enlightenment in October 2006.
For those who partook of the various proceedings of the Conference, either as organizers, speakers, participants or in other capacities, a healthy belt of pure, elating energy pervaded. For me, the only speaker from Africa, the experience was awesome; was indeed fulfilling just as it was also a huge, learning one. The weekend was worthwhile and unique. It expanded my horizon.

I was in Brunnen, Switzerland via London, England for the first International Conference for Women and Women Entrepreneurs in October 2006. It was quite an amazing experience to share such vibrant energy in a beautiful pictoresque setting by the sea. Such an insightful conference with wonderful women speakers which clearly demonstrated the unique role of womankind for today's humanity.
The organizers, Olakunbi Korostensky's Awaken Women International are charting a new course by illustrating how women can truly uplift the world by employing their inherent God-Given Gifts in every field of endeavour: the home, the marketplace, the business world, art, humanities and science. I attended Awaken Women 2006 with the anticipation of meeting women from all walks of life who were on their own spiritual journey and from whom I could learn and grow. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of speakers that Kunbi had invited and I left the conference inspired to continue my desire to keep contacting women with an open mind on spiritual matters.
